Richard "Fresh Air Dick" Janson Pintail Hen

$1,750.00
sold out

This is a super unusual example by Richard “Fresh Air Dick” Janson (Sonoma CA). This example started life in the 1920s-30s as a Dick Janson canvasback. However, it is in excellent and all original paint as a pintail hen by Janson. There is no indication that it was ever rigged for use. I am of the opinion Janson had a canvasback body that he transformed into a pintail hen. Purchased by the seller directly from the early Sonoma carver/maker Joe Kiser. Measures 15” in length.
