Meet our owner and founder, Micah Brosnan. Micah’s interest in the outdoors began at an early age, through his family's appreciation for it. He caught an interest in vintage hunting decoys, which began with his college roommate. His roommate, who he is still to this day his best friend, inherited a small collection of decoys from his grandfather. These decoys happened to be from Dick Janson. After graduating from college with a degree in Wildlife Management, he entered the working world. Always retaining an interest in vintage decoys, and feeling somewhat constrained by the often less than creative corporate environment, Micah decided to fill a niche and start a website specializing in vintage decoys of the Pacific Coast. Over 15 years later, West Coast Decoys is still flourishing and the owner’s interest has only grown stronger.
