Mike Bucklin Canada Goose
Hollow carved Canada goose by Mike Bucklin (Webbs Island, VA and Bury, Quebec). Excellent all original paint and lightly used condition. Bucklin's decoys demonstrate his extraordinary skill as both a carver and painter. All of his decoys are made "from scratch". He carved them with chainsaw, hatchet, files, knives and sandpaper from trees he felled on his farm in Quebec. Bucklin's work is documented in Quebec Decoys, The Essential by Pierre Fidiadis as well Sculpteures D' Appelants Du Quebec by Francois St-Onge. Note the wear to the top left side of the head. Measures approximately 26" in length.
