Mason Decoy Company Premier Mallard Drake

$4,250.00
sold out

This is without a doubt the nicest premier grade mallard drake from the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI ca. 1905) that I have ever offered. Super bright and thick all original paint with heavy paint swirls. This example even has traces of newspaper ink on both sides. The Mason Company would wrap their decoys in newspaper for shipping. On the best examples you can find traces where the ink bleed onto the decoy. An expertly done tail chip has been done by Paul Fortin. Measures 17.5” in length.
