Mason Decoy Company Green-Winged Teal Pair

$1,100.00
sold out

Super rare standard grade, glass-eye model green-winged teal pair from the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI) ca. 1910. Both are in all original paint with gunning wear and a coat of varnish applied. The drake has an age split along the back and the hen has an age split along the bottom. These are excellent candidates for restoration. Removing the varnish and potentially filling the split in the back of the drake would likely result in a very nice and rare pair of Mason green-winged teal at a reasonable investment point. Based on condition and the indication where the ballast weights were applied, I believe these to be rig mates making them even more of a rarity. Both measure just over 12” in length.
