Solid carved redwood with pine head on this rare pintail drake by Elmore Camp (Vallejo, CA) ca. 1940. Paint appears to be the work of Ed Snyder (Rio Vista, CA). Wonderful form and paint on this rare early California decoy. Camp was a ship fitter on Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo from 1918-1923.
