Classic solid carved redwood canvasback pair by Dick Allen (Vallejo, CA) ca. 1920s. Repainted by the maker when they were retired from service in 1968. This exact pair are shown on page 174 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. Each measures approximately 15” in length. Certainly this is the nicest pair by the maker that I’ve ever offered.
