Solid carved redwood redhead drake by William “Bill” McLellan (Eureka, CA) ca. 1940. All McLellan redheads were discovered in the collection of the important California wine maker August Sebastiani. McLellan is most famous for his brant, which have sold for significant amounts. His duck decoys are quite rare and seldom come available. Good original paint with a stable neck crack.
